Alan Griffith at Luminous Lint has recently posted a heartening look at the current fine art photography market.
After you read it, check out his whole site. It is a wonderful place to fall into.

Facing the New World
Finnish photographer Kalle Kataila has created a series of simply gorgeous landscapes that are thick with romance and promise.
That may sound a bit old, but her series, “Contemplation”, works for me.

The World’s Longest Photograph?
Thanks to Conscientious for letting me know about this.
BTW, Joerg (sorry I can’t find the umlaut) Colberg has one of the most interesting photo blogs, and I think he lives in or around Northampton.
Sheron Rupp at the UMass Fine Arts Gallery
It is my great pleasure to help spread the word about a rare local exhibit by one of the Valley’s very best photographic artists.
Sheron Rupp will be showing her work at the University of Massachusetts Fine Arts Gallery, Amherst, Massachusetts, beginning February 5th, with an opening from 5-7:30.
The show will continue until March 29th. Please check with the gallery for their daily schedule.

Robert Tobey sent me this link from the NYT Book Review. This is news I can use about emotion recognition psychology. I just made up that term, but check out the review, and if you like, read the first chapter link.

Practicing levitation in the yurt
My son, Caleb, has figured out how to levitate in style. Wife Vivian is just floating there, and my daughter Tobey is a picture on the wall. She sent it to us from Thailand.
