Last Day in Tajikstan

June 3, 2009

I’m loving Khujand. It has the best market in Central Asia as far as good people to photograph and good stuff to look at.

This broke down internet cafe won’t let me post so I apologize and will try to get something up later.

Hey Frank! Great blogging. . . I am in the middle of Colin Thubron’s “Shadow of the Silk Road,” and (tho a bit stuffy) it seems that I am following much of your trail in his writings. How about putting up a map of your locations? And, since these silly blogs read from today backwards and I don’t know how it all starts, what is the gig that got you there?

In any case, great stuff, I am jealous. We just returned from Japan, which is always wonderful, but I am lately wanting to be in Central/Inner Asia. Ah!

    Enjoy– Jamie

      Hi Jamie,
Once we left our Uzbekistan hotel, and it’s free wireless, I haven’t been able to log a decent post on these damn internet cafe clunker computers. Anyway, I’m basically a “trailing spouse” following Vivian around as she is touring teaching English for the state department. I’m getting logged out. Bye.
