Lantern Slide Fusions and GigaPan Giggles

Stan Sherer’s re-imagining of old lantern slides from a long gone Smith College mathematician and scientist synthesize the tactile old technology of large plates of taped glass with the artist’s subtle, yet demonstrative visual intelligence.

lantern_slide-12Stan Sherer’s large scale prints are now on exhibit at the Kahn Center in the Smith College Library. They will be on display into March and the exhibition is open during library hours.
